The week

The live schedule is below. Times change, a class is occasionally cancelled, and Saturday's programme is different most weeks — so rather than keep a copy here that could go out of date, this page shows the real one. You can book directly from it.

What a normal week looks like

Friday evening belongs to Professor Olga Lyashevska: the Women's Only Class, then No-Gi. Saturday has adult classes from 16:00, with a programme that changes week to week. Three things worth knowing before you look

Monday belongs to people arriving for the first time. Both Monday classes are a free first class, once per person, and Monday takes no paid drop-in. Those two hours are kept for whoever is walking in for the first time.

Monday's Advanced class starts at 19:15, and there is a reason. The free trial runs before it, and the fifteen minutes after that class belong to whoever came for the first time — to ask everything they want to ask, without the next class waiting on them. So Monday evening starts a quarter of an hour later than Tuesday and Thursday. Every member on the mat that night gives those fifteen minutes, and that is the arrangement.

Saturday changes every week, and that is the point of it. Gi, no-gi, self-defence or something built for that particular week, and the instructor changes too. Before 16:00 the mat belongs to the Kids Program.

Open Mat and No-Gi are for members. That is where the team trains together, and it is one of the things membership buys that a visit does not.

Which class is for you?

Never trained before? A Monday at 08:00 or 18:00 is your free trial — no experience, no gi, no cost, and a gi is lent to you. The schedule offers the Mondays that are running. Women can also start with a free first class in Friday's Women's Only Class at 18:00.

Visiting Amsterdam? Drop in for €25 on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday evening, or Wednesday or Friday morning. At blue belt or above you can also take the Tuesday or Thursday Advanced class. Unsure whether your grade travels? A WhatsApp to +31 6 81911917 gets an honest answer.

Bringing a child? Kids classes run Wednesday afternoons and on Saturday mornings, through the independent Kids Program of Professor Laszlo — enrolment, times and details are on their site.

Before your first visit

Arrive 15–20 minutes before class. An instructor personally welcomes every first-time visitor: they explain how the academy works, answer questions, help you get ready and introduce you to the class. Once training starts the instructor is on the mat and cannot step off — so if you arrive after class has started, you will not be able to join that session. Come early.

Directions, parking and what is inside: plan your visit.
